Well, I'm taking this as done because this week, it was a big deal.
What I did today: I had lunch with my two best friends. Yes, that is the sort of things normal people do, but I've been far removed from normal of late.
I didn't feel inadequate, I didn't feel hated, I didn't feel anything other than a sense of fun and fondness for the people I was with. I don't feel I need to apologise for being crap, crass or boring.
So, despite pre-lunch nerves entirely unmatched to something so simple, I feel better and so I'm taking this one. No worries with post-lunch analysis, which is a very nice feeling.

Good on you! I find I can relax more with friends than family anyhow. And they're not as judgemental!
