I'm going to count this as done. The chances of me trying a completely new food are slim as I'm cutting out more and more.
I now don't eat:
meat
fish
berries
tomatoes
kiwi fruit
pineapple
mango
and the list grows longer every time I get a new allergy (not including meat and fish, I don't THINK).
But, in my new persona as a vegetarian, I've been eating things this week I've never made before, because I'd have put meat in them.
Quorn mousakka was the first thing I made, which wasn't great but I know what to do next time (ignore the recipe!), then a thai veg thing that was a pleasant accident, followed by cauliflower korma the next night (which was heavenly) then tonight I made a vegetable tagine (which smelt better than it tasted or looked, but was still nice enough and ever so virtuous). Making three lots of dinner is a hassle (kids, carnivore, me), but hey ho, I'm enjoying cooking even if it is just for me and I have to have most things two nights in a row.
Food things are easy...

hello there.
Sorry if you think I may be stalking you, having just added your 2 blogs to my people i watch list and all ;) Just love the concept of this blog - and always like to read peoples random stuff!
On a more topic related level, I turned veggie this year (not an actual one.. but a vegetarian), and don't know if I will ever look back. I eat so many vegetables now its insane. I feel much better for it! Quorn is my lifesaver as I have actually always prefered it to meat anyway (apart from ham... *sigh* I miss that).
So enjoy! and stock up on Quorn Cottage pie. its amazing!
