Coke Coke Coke

I have to be careful always to use a capital C.

Well, the Coke thing has been addressed. Ahem. I am now addicted to Death Coke. Sorry, Diet Coke. Complete abstention from all cola things, then convincing myself that I really, really wanted an ice cold Diet Coke has resulted in a new addiction to Diet Coke.

Go me. While this may help with the old fitting into the dress thing and teeth retention, it doesn't help with the cost and caffeine aspect. Quite a victory for mind control however, but I fear that this isn't all that useful.

Researchers at Purdue University have concluded that by breaking the connection between a sweet sensation and high-calorie food, the use of saccharine changes the body’s ability to regulate how many calories it consumes.“The data clearly indicate that consuming a food sweetened with no-calorie saccharine can lead to greater body-weight gain and adiposity than would consuming the same food sweetened with a higher-calorie sugar.”

Yeah, yeah. I get to have the odd vice, I have buckets of goodness stored up from all the alcohol I don't drink.

You must stop talking about fizzy drinks, please. I weaned myself off the fizzy stuff and onto Belvoir Organic Cordial about four years ago with only an odd lapse since then. Unfortunately, because you have been banging on about fizzy drinks for the last god knows how long, I, being a weak willed and easily influenced person, gave in to the cravings and bought a six pack of full fat Dr Pepper at the weekend. I hold you completely responsible! I have to blame someone as I cannot take responsibility for my actions just like the rest of society and I require compensation.

I'm not exactly being positive about fizzy drinks.

Disclaimer: the management would like to point out that they have never condoned the drinking of Dr Pepper. It may look like Coke but it ain't no cola.
