Not #49

Well, I won a competition I don't actually remember entering.

I am one of merely 10,000 people to win a L'Oreal mascara. I feel truly special. It's one of these two part ones that give extra long and volumised lashes. Except, I have very long and thick eyelashes to start with, so I look like one of those mad old women with caked on cracked make up. It is very good, it does what it claims, but I look daft.

Still. It was free, and only myself and 9,999 other people got it so I shall treasure it for that very fact.

It doesn't count as done. I still aim to win something proper. Cheering to know I am in fact entering competitions, which considerably improves my likelihood of winning something. I suspect this one was to win something more substantial than a mascara, but never mind.

I entered into a competition to win four tickets to Alton Towers. Why? Because in July I am taking my son there for a birthday present. It was his birthday in April, but I wanted all his exams to be over first.. and anyway, I had entered this competition.

They wanted my details because it was an online competition, so I foolishly gave them.

I am now being hounded relentlessly by companies wanting to sell me everything from windows, to Insurance to Spectacles, and so on... EVERY day. They cal me at home or on my mobile.
When I ask them where they got my number from, they all tell me I emailed them and wanted a quote.. then they tell me I entered a competition.......

Doh..........

I hope you are very rude to them and tell each and every one that you want removed from their lists.
Or you could just argue as to whether you *need* what they're selling, that can be fun if you're in the mood. I do like to fantasise about getting a quote for a conservatory on my second floor flat...
